Walker shows winning spirit
In the United States Track and Field meets held around the country each summer, young athletes are introduced to the events and their abilities realized.
So has been the case with Riverbend Elementary student Roniesha Walker, 9, of West Monroe. Walker recently began competing for Monroe's Peak Performance Track Club.
Walker is in just her second year competing at any level and she has already caught the eye of some of the region's top coaches while competing in the 8-9 year old Bantam division.
