'Cleanest City' grapples with growth

A new retail development in Sterlington slated to begin construction this summer is expected to create up to 30 new jobs and more revenue growth for the town.

That's according to Mayor Vern Breland, who spoke with The Ouachita Citizen Wednesday about the planned development.

While he could not disclose the name of the company just yet, he said it was a major retail chain that would provide much needed services to the town of Sterlington.
