Coroner wants trailer to house bodies The Ouachita Parish Coroner's Office will seek state funding to help pay for a trailer to house corpses during times of emergency.
According to parish coroner Dr. Teri O'Neal, the trailer also could be used by the coroner's office for every day use because northeast Louisiana only has about 13 morgue locations available to house bodies.
Michael Brame, regional administrator of Hospital Emergency Preparedness for Region 8, said the trailer would cost about $42,000, but the coroner's office could secure grant funding of about $19,000 to help pay for it. .....For the full story, subscribe to the The Ouachita Citizen's NEW E-Edition! |
