Health screening scheduled at Sterlington clinic

Glenwood Regional Medical Center will offer its annual men's health screening next week in conjunction with National Men's Health Month.

The event will be held 8 a.m. to noon June 13-17 at the Glenwood Family Practice Clinic in Sterlington. The clinic is located at 8649 U.S. Hwy. 165 North, Suite 1.

No appointment is necessary.

Dr. Rubeena Anjum and Dr. Samina Fakhr, the two physicians practicing at the clinic, will be on hand to answer any questions men might have about their health. Lab and screening options include free blood pressure checks; cholesterol lipid panel for $20; prostate specific antigen test for $20; thyroid panel for $25; rheumatoid factor for $20; testosterone level (men 45 and older) for $35; and comprehensive metabolic panel for $25.
