Jaycees gear up for July 4th Members of the Monroe Jaycees are gearing up for its annual Fourth of July celebration at Forsythe Park.
Family oriented activities are planned.
This year's event will be held from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. July 2, along the Ouachita River in Forsythe Park. It includes a number of activities for the family, food, shopping opportunities and live music. The event caps off with the fireworks show. The fireworks show typically starts around 9 p.m. and lasts for about 15 minutes.
