Get up and win the race
 This past week I came upon a poem by Dee Groberg entitled "The Race." I was moved to tears when I read it. This poem is about a man who recalls a race that he had as a little boy where he had fallen again and again trying so hard to win the race.
He stated that just the thought of that short race rejuvenated him every time he was down.
This poem is a reminder to all of us that life is filled with ups and downs and we must learn to rise again each time we fall. How many times in your own life have you fallen? How many times did you get back up? It took me a long time to accept the reasoning of when I failed at something that it was not the end of the world. Maybe I would not get another shot at this particular dream, but I learned that falling was not failing. I learned that failing was only a temporary setback. I learned to keep getting back up no matter what. If a man has never fallen, he has never attempted much.
