NLEP points to Vantage's growth
Vantage Health Plan is an excellent model of economic development with even more plans of expansion this year, according to the area's leading economic development engine.
The North Louisiana Economic Partnership, formerly Ouachita Economic Development Corp., helped Vantage Health Plan expand in the early 2000s.
Now, NLEP hopes to help other existing businesses grow and succeed in northeast Louisiana.
Since opening in 1994 by area doctors with a staff of five employees, Vantage has ballooned statewide with 180 employees. Vantage Health Plan now provides coverage to 23,000 members across more than 50 parishes.
