Neville hosts baseball camp Local youth with a future on the baseball field will soon have an opportunity to refine their baseball skills at the Neville Baseball camp featuring head coach Joey Williamson. The camp will be held June 6-8 at Embanato Field in Monroe for boys ages 5-13.
All of the Neville High School baseball coaches as well as some of the top Neville players from the 2011 season will be on hand to give instruction on hitting, fielding, pitching, and base running.
This will be the fifth camp run by Williamson in his career, but his first in Monroe following his inaugural season as baseball coach at Neville in 2011. Players at the camp will receive one-on-one attention.
Williamson spent five seasons at Beau Chene High School in south Louisiana where he redefined the area's baseball culture which started through these camps for young players.
