Chamber, KWMB work to promote business pride
In an effort to improve the look of West Monroe, two organizations have teamed up with the city to reward businesses that keep their property attractive.
The West Monroe/West Ouachita Chamber of Commerce along with Keep West Monroe Beautiful will join the city of West Monroe in carrying out the program, according to chamber president Mary Ann Moon.
"It's part of our litter abatement program, but we want it to be more positive because we don't want to talk about just not littering and how messy things are," Moon said. "We want to recognize businesses for maintaining nice storefronts and maintaining their property in a positive way."
