The Ouachita Parish school system plans to spend $4.7 million over the next 24 months putting in interactive white boards in every classroom.

The School Board agreed Tuesday to use $1.25 million from the fund dedicated to construction projects at schools in western Ouachita Parish, or West Side Construction Fund, for white boards in schools in western Ouachita.

Approximately $3.5 million will be drawn from a fund dedicated for school projects in eastern Ouachita Parish, or 2011 East bond funds, for white boards in schools in eastern Ouachita.
