Hundreds of homes in Ouachita Parish flooded when severe thunderstorms passed through the area several weeks ago, and local officials are still compiling a list of damage.

The majority of the homes damaged by flooding were located in Monroe, according to Ouachita Parish Homeland Security director Tracy Hilburn.

Ouachita Parish Homeland Security officials currently are tallying the number of homes affected by recent severe weather to determine if Ouachita Parish qualifies for federal assistance.
