The Ouachita Parish Public Library today announced "Coming Back Stronger" by Drew Brees and Chris Fabry, foreword by Mark Brunell has been chosen as the 2011 "River Reads" book selection.

River Reads is the library's summer reading program for adults that will encourage all area residents to read the same book, then participate in dialogue, discussion, and activities that widen the understanding of the book's topic.

The title was unveiled this morning at the River Reads book selection announcement party in the Louis Locke Room at the Main Branch. The book was chosen by the branch managers of the library system's ten branches.

"The directive to our managers was to select a book that would have wide appeal, be easily readable and accessible to the community and that would encourage and inspire people," said library director Robin Toms.
