Local athletes win championships
Local youth track & field athletes turned in some great performances over the weekend as hundreds of the top athletes ages 5-18 from across the region converged on Monroe for the third annual Peak Performance Invitational at Groseclose Track Complex in Monroe.
The stadium, formally known as Brown Stadium, on the University of Louisiana-Monroe campus, has been home to the local track club since they started under head coach Dennis Groll.
The Bantam age group was especially kind to Peak Performance as local youth took home several titles.
