Officials urge caution
As state officials and residents along the Mississippi River work to protect property from imminent flooding, state officials are urging people to take precautions.
Sen. Francis Thompson, D-Delhi, urges residents in the Louisiana Delta region to stay informed to the latest information about rising waters in the Mississippi River and the potential impact on northeast Louisiana.
Thompson serves on the Senate Select Committee on Homeland Security. He also is chairman of the Senate Agriculture Committee.
