Tourism brings in more than $4M annually
The Monroe-West Monroe Convention and Visitors Bureau spent the week promoting the impact of tourism in Ouachita Parish during a number of community events.
Last year the tourism industry generated more than $209 million for the Ouachita Parish economy, according to CVB executive director Alana Cooper.
"This economic impact also brought more than $4.1 million in local tax collections," Cooper said.
