Honeycutt speaks to ESU

The English Speaking Union recently hosted author Leo Honeycutt, an award winning television journalist, and author of "Edwin W. Edwards: Governor of Louisiana."

Honeycutt reviewed his publication, pointing out it was officially authorized by Edwards. Adding to the enjoyment of the audience was a power point presentation of photographs. The presentation included photographs of Edwards' early childhood and schooling in Marksville; a stint in the Air Force; his marriage to his childhood sweetheart; and setting up his law practice in Crowley before entering politics.

Famous people with whom Edwards had interactions included Presidents John Kennedy, Lyndon Johnson, Richard Nixon, Gerald Ford, Jimmy Carter, Ronald Reagan and Bill Clinton.
