Bringing a year of interesting meetings to a close, Cultura Book Club held its annual luncheon and installation of officers at Calvert Crossing Country Club on May 2.

Hostesses for this gathering were Sue Arledge, Sue Drewett and Kitty Liner.

Pearl M. Wells, an honorary member who now lives in Bossier City, installed the officers. Her ceremony theme was "Jewels." She named a jewel and presented a jewelry gift to each new officer as follows: Peggy Henderson, president; Montez Branch, vice president; Angie Jones, secretary; Pat Valentine, treasurer; Frances Grantham, parliamentarian/historian; and Pat McClendon, reporter.
