Priceless find for history buff

The old saying, "One man's trash is another man's treasure," recently rang true for Bob Fitzgerald of Monroe's Recycling Services.

Fitzgerald is now the proud owner of several old newspapers from the 1930s and 1940s. Most of them are old Chicago papers, while some hail from New Orleans.

Several of the newspapers have big, bold headlines declaring the end to World War II. Some of the older papers are special editions with actual photographs from World War I.

Fitzgerald is a history buff, and to him, the papers are priceless. He plans to have them professionally sealed and framed so he can hang them in his den at his home.
