OCS blasts past CLA

The No. 2 Ouachita Christian School Eagles moved a step closer to returning to the state tournament in Shreveport on Thursday with a 11-1 run-rule victory over No. 31 Christian Life Academy.

OCS (21-9) scored early and often. The defending Class 1A state champion Eagles scored five runs in the first inning and then added five more in the fourth inning to dispatch the Crusaders.

OCS pounded away at CLA pitcher Mio Godoy who was tagged with only three of the 11 runs scored as earned. OCS recorded 10 hits in the game and Godoy walked five batters.
