The West Ouachita Chiefs continued their winning streak on the baseball field with a 12-1 win over Morgan City Friday that was called in the fifth inning because of the mercy rule.

The win extended the Chiefs' winning streak to seven-games and moved the team one step closer to qualifying for the state tournament in Ruston.

The WOHS offense has been nothing short of spectacular during their seven-game winning streak. The Chiefs are averaging 14 runs per game over their last seven outings while giving up just under two runs per game defensively.
