Lady Chiefs fall in Fast Pitch 56
The West Ouachita Lady Chiefs fell short of their goal of winning a Class 4A state championship at the LHSAA Fast Pitch 56 state tournament last week following a 9-1 loss to Vanderbilt Catholic.
Vanderbilt set the tone early with a four-run first inning and later extended it to 6-0 in the second and 9-0 in the fourth inning.
West Ouachita would scratch across their lone run of the game in the bottom of the sixth inning and would have a chance to cut deeper into the Lady Terrier lead in the seventh.
