Lady Crusaders come up short in title game

The Claiborne Christian School Lady Crusaders fell short of a third consecutive Class C state title at the Louisiana High School Athletic Association Class C softball tournament following a 10-0 loss to Hackberry High School.

Hackberry blew the game open with five runs in the fourth inning.

Hackberry then added four more runs in the fifth to close the game after five innings.
The game was a bit of revenge for Hackberry who scored a run early in the 2010 final against CCS before pitcher Kara Anderson settled in to deliver a 2-1 victory and a second consecutive state title to the Lady Crusaders.
