Crusaders win playoff opener

The Claiborne Christian School Crusaders advanced in the Louisiana High School Athletic Association Class C baseball playoffs with a 17-0 route of Hackberry on Monday.

The contest was delayed for more than two hours and the venue was changed from the CCS campus to Ouachita Parish High School in Monroe after afternoon rains made the game unplayable at Crusader field in West Monroe.

CCS got to see innings from all three of their top pitchers in the contest.
