Jurors OK restroom project
The Ouachita Parish Police Jury signed off on a proposal to build a public restroom facility in the parking lot of the Ouachita Parish Courthouse Annex.
Earlier this month, members of the Monroe Downtown Economic Development District approached the Police Jury about the restroom proposal.
They said the restroom proposal was part of their overall plans to turn Monroe's downtown area into a river market full of vendors and artisans.
