Golfers head to state
While Ouachita Parish gets a lot of credit each year for talents on the the football and baseball field, few years have been such as this where the golf talent takes center stage.
Six area high school golfers recently put in fine performances at the Louisiana High School Athletic Association Division I Regional Tournament.
Neville senior Anna McMullen as well as West Monroe golfers Emily Stratton, Alexis Belton, Kelli Jones, Lynsey Tolar and Kaylee Beaird all qualified for the LHSAA Division I state tournament to be played this week at Copper Mill Golf Club in Zachary.
