OCS swings into next round
The Ouachita Christian School Lady Eagles are headed back to the Fast Pitch 56 Softball State Tournament to defend their Louisiana High School Athletic Association Class 1A championship.
OCS earned their second consecutive state tournament berth with a 6-0 route of Hanson Memorial High School this past Saturday.
Junior pitcher Carly Thaxton went the distance with seven scoreless innings to earn the win.
Hanson starting pitcher Evelyn Pontiff also pitched well, keeping OCS off the scoreboard for the first three innings.
