CCS rests during first round bye The Claiborne Christian School Crusaders will begin defense of their 2010 Class C baseball state title next week in the Louisiana High School Athletic Association Class C playoffs. CCS will be the No. 2 seed and receive a first round bye.
Because there are only 25 teams in Class C baseball, the Crusaders will only have to win one home game to earn a trip back to Alexandria for the state tournament as opposed to two games in higher classifications around the area.
No other team, big or small, has been able to match the success on the field by CCS however. CCS has won three consecutive state titles and will go for a record fourth this season.
