LSU Tiger Tour stops in Monroe The LSU Tiger Athletic Foundation Tiger Tour 11 rolls into town this Thursday, April 28. The event will feature dinner and a meet-and-greet opportunity with LSU Vice Chancellor and Athletic Director Joe Alleva, as well as assistant football coach Frank Wilson.
Wilson currently serves as running backs coach and recruiting coordinator for the Tiger football program. He was a high school football head coach at O.P. Walker in New Orleans before moving up to the college ranks. Wilson led Walker to back-to-back District 10-4A championships in 2001-2002 and a state runner-up finish in 2002 at the Louisiana Superdome.
Alleva became athletic director at LSU in 2008 and also became the first AD in LSU history to add the title of Vice Chancellor the following year. The new title gives Alleva more hands-on involvement in the academics of student-athletes than any LSU AD before him. The event at the Monroe Civic Center Arena costs $50 for an individual seat, $400 for a table of eight or $500 for a VIP table.
The event will begin at 7 p.m. with doors opening at 6 p.m.For the full story, subscribe to the The Ouachita Citizen's NEW E-Edition! |
