Earth Day, Eggstravaganza celebration Saturday
With the arrival of spring, Keep Monroe Beautiful officials hope more people will get out and make the Monroe region as beautiful as possible.
With Earth Day happening Friday, April 22, Monroe beautification director Gregg Smith says now is the perfect opportunity for citizens to join in local clean-up efforts.
Smith is spearheading Earth Day efforts at Louisiana Purchase Gardens and Zoo, which will also host the 2011 Easter Eggstravaganza on Saturday, April 23.
