Chennault hosts Native American exhibit

"Clash of Cultures: The Fight for Territory," a special exhibit at Chennault Aviation and Military Museum in Monroe, will be on display through June 1.

The exhibit features more than 100 original and replica artifacts of Native American culture and the U.S. military during the 18th century and 19th century.

The exhibit includes Native American beaded bags, Cherokee leather goods, Seminole/Creek warrior clothing and dress, antelope skin paintings, war shirts, a Lakota shield and bow case with bow and arrows, white wolf skin headdress and beaded moccasins.
