A recently released audit of G.B. Cooley Hospital Service District showed the district's total net assets increased some $1.2 million at the close of the 2010 fiscal year.

The hospital district's 2010 fiscal year ended June 30.

The hospital service district reported $4.9 million in total net assets at the end of the 2010 fiscal year. Net assets represents total assets over liabilities.

The audit of the hospital service district was conducted by Luffey, Huffman, Ragsdale and Soignier, a Monroe CPA firm. It was released in late March by the Louisiana Legislative Auditor's Office.
