Zoo plans annual Easter event The Louisiana Purchase Zoological Society will host its annual Zoo Easter Eggstravaganza, Saturday, April 23. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Louisiana Purchase Gardens and Zoo.
The event will be held with several Easter egg hunts for various ages. The Easter Bunny will be on hand for pictures with children. Children up to 2 years old will be able to hunt for eggs at 11 a.m.
Children ages 3 to 5 will hunt for eggs at 11:30 a.m. Children ages 6 to 8 will hunt for eggs at noon. Children ages 9 to 10 will hunt for eggs at 12:30 p.m.
A portion of proceeds go to the Louisiana Purchase Zoological Society to benefit Louisiana Purchase Gardens & Zoo.
LPZS is a non-profit organization that supports the zoo with projects, activities and exhibits. Admission is $5 for adults and children over 3 years old.
