Patterson: U.S. energy policy killing jobs

The United States' current energy policy is killing jobs and making things more costly for consumers, according to the Louisiana Association of Business and Industry.

Representatives of LABI talked about state budget issues as well as U.S. energy policy during a luncheon Tuesday at the West Monroe Convention Center. The event was sponsored by the West Monroe Chamber of Commerce.

Jim Patterson, vice president of LABI's governmental relations, said the national energy crises was important to the state and "it's not pretty."
