When Irene Tivet became a teacher in the Ouachita Parish school system in 2000, she had no idea that her path and the Good Hope Middle School Colonel Line would one day meet.

That day came in the spring of 2010 when the dance team was looking for a new sponsor.

Tivet had began teaching seventh and eighth grade English at GHMS after a stint teaching second-grade at Riverbend Elementary when she was asked if she would be interested in helping sponsor the Colonel Line in the next school year.
