Once a month you'll find some of Ouachita Parish's most patriotic members of the community gathered in the historic American Legion Post 13 building at Forsythe Park.

These grizzled veterans have become like brothers as they've spent decades together meeting on the first Monday of every month for food, fellowship and lively discussion.

The American Legion Post 13 building was built in 1928 for World War I veterans. Last month, the last living World War I veteran, Frank Buckles, passed away. He was 110.
