Work winds down at new Sterlington school

Officials with Ouachita Parish Schools expect work at the new Sterlington Elementary School to be completed late this week.

According to Kenneth Slusher, safety and construction coordinator for Ouachita Parish Schools, substantial completion of work at the new elementary school in Sterlington should occur by Friday, April 1.

"I was at Sterlington with the school principal last Thursday, and it looks like we will have a substantial completion by Friday, April 1," Slusher said. "We looked at it real close and about everything on the punch list for the inside has been completed. They've done a real good job."
