DST donates to O.K. Program The Louisiana Chapters of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated recently donated $1,900 to the O.K. Program of Monroe. Making the presentation to Mayor Jamie Mayo and O.K. Program Coordinator and Monroe Police Corporal Larry "Flip" Wilson was Delores W. Smith, Louisiana State Coordinator, and members of the Lambda Rho Chapter, Monroe Alumnae Chapter and Monroe Metropolitan Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated.
Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc held its State Convention in Monroe from March 18-20. Nearly 600 registered participants were in the twin cities for this event. During a worship service, the organization raised an offering and chose to leave a portion of their collection to benefit one of Monroe's youth organizations.
The O.K. Program of Monroe is the local affiliate of a male mentorship program sponsored by the City of Monroe. The purpose of the O.K.
