A recent report and analysis of Ouachita Parish Schools' compliance with a federal desegregation order suggests the school system could be removed from federal court jurisdiction.

The School Board currently is being evaluated by the federal courts to determine if it has removed all vestiges of segregation, and no longer, in any way, discriminates against any student.

The school system's "Unitary Review and Analysis Report" was conducted by demographer Mike Hefner with Geographic Planning and Demographic Services.
