Refuge seeks volunteers
posted E-mail Story E-mail Story | Print Story Print Story
Volunteers are needed at Black Bayou Lake National Wildlife Refuge to help staff the refuge visitor center. The refuge also needs program volunteers who like to work with children to help with school programs.

The refuge will have two sessions to orient new volunteers. The first will be at 9 a.m. Tuesday, March 29. A second session will be offered from 1-4 p.m. Thursday, March 31.

The first half of each session will cover staffing visitor center and the last half will be looking at program offerings for school groups.

If you are interested in orientation/training to volunteer in either of these areas or for more information, call Gay Brantley at 387-1114.
