Spring time is 'revival time'
Yes, I know our calendar says Spring began last Sunday. From looking around, our trees and shrubs thought it began well before that. Anyway, let's think about Spring being Revival time." Do you remember the olden days when country folks would get together for "Revivals"? This is something exciting, attractive, compelling about a real revival! This is especially true in respect to spiritual revivals. It is also true in respect to personal revival. When the fires of concern, love and evangelism cool…or die…revival becomes vital!
The word "revival: comes from a Latin word meaning "to live again." This takes on special meaning when we consider the wonderful old hymn: "Revive us again. Fill each heart with thy love. May each soul be re-kindled with fire from above" This idea comes from the Bible, PS. 85"1-6 "Lord…wilt thou revive us again; that thy people may rejoice in thee."
