Vicksburg Bridge to Close Today
Today, from approximately 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm, the Mississippi River Bridge at Vicksburg will be closed to all traffic. The bridge is being closed as a precautionary measure while recovery crews remove a barge that is near the bridge.
Louisiana State Police Troopers are assisting local authorities and the DOTD with traffic management. All traffic will be detoured onto US 65 to either Greenville, to the north, or Natchez, to the south. |
