One of the greatest joys for Karen Cox was seeing the faces of young students light up when they walked into the cafeteria at Boley Elementary in West Monroe.

For many of the students, just seeing her when they entered the cafeteria was enough to bring a smile to their faces.

Cox's life was cut short when she was killed in a car accident last month.

Though she is gone, Boley principal Curtis Pate says Cox will always be remembered at Boley Elementary for her passion and love for the children who attended the school.
