Projects expected to improve drainage

Three drainage projects contemplated since the late 1970s could finally be completed by 2013, making Ouachita Parish better prepared for high level flooding.

That's according to parish engineer Tom Holtzclaw, who spoke with The Ouachita Citizen Tuesday about the three projects, which will cost several millions of dollars to complete.
The three projects include ongoing work for the projects at east Town and Country, Tanglewood and Green Springs.

Holtzclaw recently spoke with Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development about each of the projects.
