The Ouachita Parish Sheriff's Office has operated an automated computer system called the "Are You O.K.?" for the past several years and would like to remind Ouachita Parish citizens of its availability.

The primary goal is to ensure the safety of persons who require a daily check on their well-being and is meant primarily for senior citizens or those who are housebound who may be unable to request help when needed.

The advantages of the system are: This service is free to the subscriber; it helps ease concerns of people who live alone and their families; it helps homebound people stay independent while feeling safe with daily monitoring; it relieves family and friends who cannot always check up on the person who lives alone.
