The Sterlington Panthers (4-8) will be facing more stiff competition in the Chevron/Ouachita Baseball Classic to be held at both Ouachita and West Monroe High School beginning today, March 17.

The Panthers snapped a three-game losing streak on Saturday with a 5-4 victory over the Tioga Indians during the Tioga baseball tournament last week.

The young Panthers are having to rely on many freshman players this year and there are no seniors on the team.
