Carroll heads back to Top 28
The Carroll Bulldogs will attempt to erase the bad memories of their Class 3A boys basketball championship loss at the 2010 Top 28 when they play No. 2 Holy Cross Friday at 6:15 p.m. in the 2011 LHSAA Top 28 tournament in Lafayette.
The Bulldogs advanced to their second consecutive Top 28 with a 60-45 victory over the Crowley Gents.
Point Guard Xavier Lee finished with game-high 20 points and Carroll used hard-nosed pressure defense to fluster the Gents much of the night.
