Crusaders end inspiring season

The Claiborne Christian School Crusaders saw their basketball season end at a point farther than they had ever been in the history of the West Monroe private school.

CCS lost Friday at home to Pelican High School, 72-65.

The season was full of firsts for the Crusaders led by first-year head coach Josh Taylor.
CCS (15-16) advanced to the Louisiana High School Athletic Association Class C quarterfinals for the first time this season and were going to toe-to-toe with what many believe could be the best team in Class C this season in No. 4 Pelican.
