Grant to provide crisis management preparation

The Ouachita Parish School Board signed off on a grant agreement Tuesday to provide the system with $300,000 to better prepare school administrators for any on-site crisis.

Pam Barton, supervisor of the parish school's grant department, told the School Board Tuesday that the parish school system would not be required to put up any funding to implement the grant.

"Any expense we have with this project will be covered under the grant funding," Barton said. "The only responsibility the district has is to agree to do it."
