Bid opening delayed for Finks Hideaway job

Work on widening Finks Hideaway Road in northern Monroe has been delayed again, the state Department of Transportation and Development announced earlier this week.

Bids were scheduled to be accepted this month for the Finks Hideaway project. DOTD announced Monday the bid letting date for the project was moved to March 2012.

The original letting date for the project was October 2010, but last year that that was delayed until March 2011 due to pending right-of-way acquisitions by the Ouachita Parish Police Jury.
