CASA photography contest puts focus on children CASA of Northeast Louisiana is searching for photographers to participate in the second annual CASA photographer of the year contest, which will be held Thursday, April 7, in Monroe.
The contest is part of the bi-monthly Downtown Gallery Crawl. "The 45 Gallery" will be displayed in Aubrey Hall on Art Alley and will feature photographs from local professional and amateur photographers. The gallery is being held to honor the 45 children who lost their lives to abuse and neglect in Louisiana in 2009.
Attendees will vote for their favorite photograph and the photographer with the most votes will be named the CASA photographer of the year. The winner will be announced at a reception at 10 a.m. Friday, April 8, at the Center for Children and Families in Monroe. .....For the full story, subscribe to the The Ouachita Citizen's NEW E-Edition! |
